At Tholispani.Space, we are oftentimes contacted by aspiring models looking to break into the industry. Because we frequently post articles about fashion and artists, some of our readers assume that we have connections to the South African modeling industry. However, contrary to popular belief, Tholispani.Space does not hire models as we are not a modeling agency. With that being said, our aim is to give up-and-coming artists of all kinds exposure- models included.
We love to see young South Africans following their dream of being a model. If we can help in any way, it would be our pleasure. The success of South African youth is the success of the nation
While we do not hire models directly at Tholispani.Space, here are some ways that aspiring South African models can break into the industry:
● Apply to a model agency. There are dozens of agencies throughout the country, but some of the most reputable are Boss Models, D&A Model Management, Ice Model Management, GAPA Model Agency, and 20 Management.
● Attend all of the model castings you can
● Attend a model training program
● Get scouted. Those who live near large cities and attend local events have the possibility of being scouted by a talent agent. Talent agents frequent these areas and can help you get signed to a modeling agency.
While we support artists of all kinds from musicians to models, we do not work with modeling agencies and therefore do not hire models directly.
However, we do aim to give aspiring models exposure. If you have a modeling portfolio and are interested in breaking into the industry, don’t hesitate to contact us. While we do not hire models directly, we may be interested in featuring your story on our website.
